Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, with over 95% of skin cancer cases caused by unprotected UV radiation from the sun, which means it is almost entirely preventable. We believe it is imperative to begin sun safety measures from newborn stage, when they are most vulnerable to irreversible UV rays. With child safety at the forefront of designing, we have sought to test, meet and comply to the requirements of relevant Australian Standards to address every foreseeable safety concern, with sun protection as our main focus.

"As mothers, we worry not only for our own children, but for all children like they are our own".

My first born was inside this pram. I wanted to shade her from the harsh Australian sun, but my instinct told me to TAKE IT OFF. I searched for safe covering options to no avail, and my fear of exposing her to irreversible UV damage piled onto other first time parent anxieties. Things like trapping heat in the pram, wiping down public surfaces, or breastfeeding at social gatherings with the nursing cover falling off. These were factored into a design that took over 3 years to finish.

It was designed for her.
